Thank you for volunteering to assist with this year's HoopCamp. As you are aware, HoopCamp is a highly successful "unified" sports camp. We have designed the format for both Special Olympic and traditional athletes, ages 6 years and up.
The purpose of this camp is to further the basketball skills of athletes who have a diverse range of experience, special abilities and needs. We strive to give all our participants an opportunity to learn more about their individual blessings, talents and skills. In addition, HoopCamp is simply a lot of fun.

You will conduct skill drill stations, officiate or keep score during games. You will help athletes develop hoop fundamentals.
[See Volunteer Coaching Tips]
You might need to accompany athletes to water and restroom breaks, oversee lunchtime activities and perform other coaching or Special Needs athletic duties.
There will be ample trained staff on hand to answer questions, assist with athletes who have additional needs or who might have behavioral problems.
Volunteer Training
Please review the coaching and volunteer information. We will provide you additional information at the volunteer orientation to begin at 8:00am Thursday, June 21st at the Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation Sports facility.
We expect around 250 HoopCampers again this year. Without your efforts, we could not conduct this camp. We thank you for your time and commitment.
Many thanks and remember: There are only winners at HoopCamp.net!
